About Standingdivided Plumbing and How Referrals Work
Request an estimate

Who we are
Standingdivided Plumbing is a referral service for homeowners with plumbing trouble. We are not a plumbing company. We do not send our own trucks. We connect you with independent providers in our network who serve Marlborough and the Marlborough area.
Why this site exists
Plumbing problems feel urgent and confusing. Many people cannot tell if a gurgling drain is minor or serious. Others search in a panic and pick the first name they see. We built this site to slow that moment down.
Our guides explain the early signs of leaks, clogs, and sewer trouble. Small sign, small fix. When you do need a pro, we help you reach one.
How matching works
You send a request or make a call. You tell us what is happening, in plain words. We pass that to a local provider in our network who handles that kind of job. The provider then talks with you about timing and next steps.
Availability differs from one provider to the next. Some can respond quickly. Others may need to schedule a visit. Ask about it up front.
What we ask of providers
Providers in our network are independent businesses. We ask them to:
- Hold the licenses and insurance their area requires
- Explain the problem and your options in plain words
- Give a written quote before major work starts
- Treat your home with care
Please confirm license and insurance details with the provider yourself. That is a smart step with any contractor.
What we do not do
We do not do the plumbing. We do not set prices. We do not promise a response time, a result, or a cost. We do not decide which repair you need. The provider does that after seeing the problem.
We also cannot say whether insurance will pay. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
How we are paid
Providers in our network may pay Standingdivided Plumbing a fee for referrals. You pay the provider directly for the work, based on the quote you accept. Requesting an estimate carries no obligation. You can say no at any time.
A note on costs
Prices vary by job. As a rough U.S. guide, clearing a simple drain often runs about $100 to $350. Sewer line repair can range from a few hundred dollars for a small fix to several thousand for digging or replacement. Always get a written quote first.
Local homes, local pipes
Cold winters, frost-and-thaw swings, and spring snowmelt stress pipes. Older homes with full basements and stone or block foundations often have aging lines. Providers who work here know these patterns well.
